Indonesian students studying in Taiwan in 2009 numbered  2,275  consisting of 1,392 degree-seeking students, six exchange students and 877 Chinese language students, also some 55 university-level education cooperation agreements were signed from 2000 to 2009 between Taiwan and Indonesia, which indicates the extent of the two countries'  collaboration in the educational field.
